The quick search toolbar in LLumin CMMS+ allows you to find the records you need quickly and without having to navigate through multiple menus. This guide will teach you how to use the search function to find what you need and fast.
Instructions
To do use the search toolbar, follow these steps:
- Locate the search bar at the top left of the homepage.
- Enter part of the record name, ID, or description (e.g. work request, work order, asset ID).
- A dropdown will appear showing relevant results as you type.
- Click the desired result to open it.

The global search scans multiple modules at once, including:
- Assets
- Work Orders
- Recurring Tasks
- Procedures
- Purchase Orders
- Items
Each result in the dropdown is color-coded and icon-tagged based on the record type—not its status. Here’s what the symbols and colors mean:
