This update introduces small but meaningful improvements to the layout and usability of the Work Order creation screen. If you’re used to the older layout, here’s what’s changed and how to navigate it.
What’s Changed?
Field Grouping Has Been Reorganized
- Standard fields like Type, Priority, or Reason for Work still appear at the top of the screen below the Assets field.
- User Defined Fields are grouped below the standard fields.
- We moved some fields like Requested By, Location, and Estimate (hours) to a new section called Additional Info to reduce clutter.
Work Definition Button Relocated
The Use Work Definition button has moved from the title area to the bottom-right of the screen.
Same functionality, just less visual noise for users who don’t need it.
Assets Grid
- The Assets grid columns are now hidden until an asset is added.
- A clear Assets label has also been added for clarity. This keeps the screen clean and improves the look and feel of the screen.
New Parts Tab
A Parts tab has been added so users can reserve parts while creating a work order.
All parts added here are treated as reservations.
Settings and Configurations
All changes are visual and structural — no changes to how Work Orders are saved or processed.
The update is enabled by default.
