How to Navigate the Asset Master

This article explains how to access and navigate the Asset Master screen in LLumin CMMS+. The Asset Master provides a complete view of an individual asset’s details, including structure, financials, performance data, and maintenance history.

Access the Asset Master

To navigate to the Asset Finder:

  1. Go to Assets > View Assets.

  2. Use the Asset Finder to locate the desired asset.
  3. Select the asset, and then click View.

  4. To locate assets within a hierarchy, switch to Organization View. This view displays parent and child assets in a structured format.
  5. Click the Organization View toggle at the top of the Asset Finder to switch between views.

Understanding the Screen Layout

The Asset Master screen is designed to reduce clicks and make high-value information easier to access. Key layout elements include:

  • Top-Left Corner: Displays the Asset ID, making it easy to confirm which asset you’re viewing.
  • Upper Section: Includes at-a-glance information that users refer to most frequently such as description, type, and status.
  • Details Panel: Contains additional high-priority data, always visible without requiring extra clicks.
  • Tab Navigation: Three tabs (General, Performance, and Maintenance) organize all asset-related data logically and consistently.
  • Bottom Toolbar: Provides quick access to common actions such as creating a Work Order or copying the asset.

Asset Structure

The Asset Structure section displays how the asset fits into a larger system, including any parent or child relationships.

 

Left side (Asset Structure):

  • View the full parent/child relationship for the asset.
  • Click Change Parent Asset to reassign the asset under a different parent.
  • Click Remove Parent Asset to unlink it from its current parent.

Right Side (Components)

  • View all components currently assigned to the asset.
  • Click +Add to link a new component to the asset.

General Tab

The General tab displays core information about the asset.

Financial InformationGL Account, Purchase Date, Salvage Value, Depreciation, Life-to-date and Year-to-date cost summaries.
Risk AssessmentRisk scoring and criticality assessment fields.
GIS DataDisplays geolocation information, if configured.
Conditions Being MonitoredLists SCADA tags, sensors, or other monitored data points.
User Defined FieldsCustom fields defined by your organization. Field types include text, numeric, date, and checkbox.
FilesUploaded documents and images related to the asset.
Activity LogSystem-generate d activity, notes, attached files, and URLs.

 

Performance Tab

The Performance tab displays information related to asset uptime, efficiency, and usage.

Production InformationSupervisor assignment, cost per hour, and notification email for work order assignments.
DowntimeDowntime events including date, duration, and cause. Events can be edited.
Performance TagsLabels or tags used for grouping and performance categorization.
UtilizationUsage data over time. Manual entry or imports from external systems (e.g., ADCS). Includes a “Show Data” option for historical readings.
OperatorsLists users or roles associated with asset operation.

 

Maintenance Tab

The Maintenance tab includes all work history and maintenance configuration data.

Linked ProceduresInspection or ad hoc procedures assigned to the asset.
Linked WorkScheduled work, open work orders, and outstanding requests.
Maintenance HistoryCompleted work orders and parts usage history.
Linked PartsInventory parts linked to the asset.
Condition-Based Action TriggersConfigured triggers that respond to monitored inputs (e.g., SCADA), generating actions or alerts.

 

Toolbar Actions

Use the toolbar at the bottom of the screen to perform the following actions:

  1. Save: Saves any changes made to the asset record.
  2. Create WO: Opens the Create Work Order screen with the asset prefilled.
  3. Copy Asset: Copies the asset record.
  4. Change ID: Allows editing of the asset identifier.
  5. Refurbish: Opens the refurbish window.
  6. Deactivate: Deactivates the asset record, removing it from active lists.
  7. Barcode: Allows users to print a barcode label for the asset.
