How to Create a Work Definition

In LLumin CMMS+, a Work Definition serves as a template for future work orders. You can import a Work Definition when creating a work order or setting up recurring work task. It helps standardize task details like labor, materials, and procedures. 

To Create a New Work Definition:

  1. Go to Recurring Work > Create Work Definition.

  2. The Create Work Definition screen will open. 
  3. Fill in the following fields:
    • Description: Enter a title for the work definition.
    • Work Order Type: Select the applicable type.
    • Craft: Choose the craft required.
    • Estimated Hours: Enter the estimated labor hours (for reference).
    • Work Request: Describe the task or issue this definition will address.
  4. (Optional) Add supporting details:
    • Assets: Add assets linked to the Work Definition.
    • Procedures: Attach a procedure if required for the task.
    • Parts: Reserve any necessary spare parts.

  5. Click Save to finish creating the Work Definition.
