How to Create an Asset Location

In LLumin CMMS+, an asset location defines a physical area within a plant or facility, such as a dam, water intake, or powerhouse. Use asset locations to organize assets geographically or functionally within a site.

Open the Asset Location Finder

1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.

   

2. Click Admin Mode.

   

3. Under Application Setup, select Assets and Work Management.

   

4. Under Asset, click Asset Locations.

   

5. The Asset Location Finder will open.

Add a Location

1. Click Add.

   

2. Enter name for the Sub-Location (for example, Location A).
3. Select the Site the location belongs to (for example, Springfield Plant).

4. Click Save.

   

5. Edit the details as needed by clicking the button in the Available In column. 

6. Click Save Changes.

   

Delete a Location

1. Locate the location you want to remove.

2. Click Delete for that row.

   

3. Click Save Changes to confirm.

NOTE: Deleting a location may affect any assets assigned to it. Reassign assets before deletion.
