How to Manage Crafts

Overview

A Craft represents a user’s skilled trade or functional role within the organization. Crafts can be assigned to Work Orders to indicate which trade is responsible for the work. They also support labor cost tracking and optional email notifications.

Common examples include:

  • Contractor
  • Electrician
  • HVAC Technician
  • Maintenance Technician
  • Plant Operator

Navigate to Crafts

  1. Select the Gear icon in the top navigation bar, and then select Admin Mode.

     

  2. Select Asset & Work Management > Crafts.

     

  3. The Crafts page displays a table where each row represents a Craft. Columns typically include:
    1. Craft: The Craft code (for example, E or M).
    2. Description: The full Craft name.
    3. Email: Optional notification address.
    4. Labor Rate: Optional hourly rate used for labor cost calculations.
    5. Available In: Opens a list of locations where the Craft is available.
    6. Delete: An X icon to remove the Craft.

 

Create a Craft

  1. On the Crafts page, select Add. A new blank row appears.

     

  2. Enter a Craft code. This may be a single letter or a short abbreviation.

     

  3. Enter a Description such as “Electrician,” “HVAC Technician,” or “Maintenance Technician.”

     

  4. (Optional) Enter:
    • an Email address
    • a Labor Rate
  5. Select Save.

After saving, the Available In button becomes active for this Craft.

 

Edit a Craft

  1. Locate the Craft you want to update.

  2. Click directly into the Craft, Description, Email, or Labor Rate fields to edit them.

     

  3. Make the necessary changes.

  4. Select Save to apply updates.

     

Configure Where a Craft Is Available

  1. Locate the Craft you want to configure.

  2. Select Available In.

     

  3. In the list of sites or locations, select the areas where this Craft should be available.

     

  4. Select Save.

Delete a Craft

  1. Locate the Craft you want to remove.

  2. Select the X icon to the left of the Craft row.

     

  3. Select Save at the bottom of the page to finalize deletion.

Craft settings are now updated and will appear anywhere Crafts are used in LLumin CMMS+.
