More New Features
Serialized Component Enhancements
This release improves how serialized components are handled throughout the work order lifecycle, with enhanced tracking, status control, and inventory impact.
Features
| Enhancement | Description |
|---|---|
| Automatic Status Update | When a serialized component is added to a non-recurring work order, its serial status is automatically set to On Work Order, removing it from available quantity. |
| Independent Status Control at Completion | Users can now change a component's serial status independently from the asset status during completion. |
| Salvage Value Required for Refurbishment | Entering a salvage value is now required when refurbishing a component. |
| Component Value Calculation | On work order completion, the system calculates a new component value by adding the work order cost to the existing salvage value. |
| Automated Availability Tracking | Serial status now impacts available quantity: On Work Order reduces the available quantity, while setting it to Available increases it. |
