Overview
Work Order Types define how Work Orders behave in LLumin CMMS+. Each Type controls priority, approval rules, Recurring Work availability, and optional links such as procedures. After a Work Order Type is created, additional configuration options become available on the Work Order Type master.
Create a Work Order Type

Select the Gear icon in the top navigation bar, and then select Admin Mode.

Select Asset & Work Management > Work Order Types.

In the Work Order Type Finder, select Create.

The Create Work Order Type window opens.

In Description*, enter a name for the Work Order Type. This field is required.

In Default Priority, select one of the following: Highest, High, Medium, Low, Lowest, or Unprioritized.
- Under Require Approval, select one of the following:
- Default: Use the global approval rule.
- Yes: Require approval for this Type.

No: Do not require approval.

To allow this Type to be used with Recurring Work, select Available on Recurring Work. Clear the checkbox to prevent this Type from being selected in Recurring Work setup.
- (Optional) In Procedure, select a procedure to associate with this Work Order Type.
- Select Save. The Work Order Type is created and additional configuration cards are now available.
Continue configuring the Work Order Type
After saving the Type, return to the Work Order Type Finder. Select the Type you created, and then select View. The Work Order Type master opens and displays several configuration cards. Each card modifies a different aspect of the Work Order Type.

- Field Configuration
- User Defined Fields (UDFs)
- Custom Validation
- Work Request Criteria
- Pre-Work Criteria
- Completion Criteria
- Available In (locations)
